Using Your Brain And Body To Meditate

There’s a two-way communication between your body and your brain. When you’re thinking negative thoughts and then your stomach starts to ache, that is the kind of communication that goes on between your brain and your body. Meditation can help relax and clear your mind so that your body can relax.

Your brain, cells, and body all communicate with each other. We don’t only think with our brain, we think with our bodies as well. Meditation can help us understand our brain. It is not wrong to look at your entire body as being part of your brain.

Many scientists believe that we are actually a "body-brain". You can communicate with your body and brain through meditation. An important part of your body’s communication system involves your cells’ receptors, which means that every cell in your body can have millions of receptors.

Candace Pert, PhD.D, was the first scientist to prove that the existence of these receptors with her own discovery of the opiate receptor. It floats on the cell’s outer part of the membrane and have roots that can reach deep inside the cell. Dr.Pert probably had to do a lot of meditating as she wrote her book The Molecules Of Emotion.

Using mediation to clear the mind, you’ll learn that there are three chemical types of ligands. They are the neurotransmitters, the steroids, and the peptides. According to Dr.Pert, many as 95 percent of all ligands may be peptides.

The receptors and their ligands have come to be seen as “information molecules”, the basic units of a language that are used by cells throughout the organism to communicate across systems such as the endocrine, neurological, gastrointestinal, and even the immune system." Much knowledge that Dr.Pert has on this subject, meditation would be what kept her mind in focus.
