Meditating To Control Anger

Not everyone see themselves as an angry person. They might always try to help someone I need and not hurt other people’s feelings. It’s hard to be there for others when you have anger and frustration building inside yourself. It might be because you had a bad day at work or school, or maybe the bills are oiling up, or your car broke down.

 

All those things can sometimes cause a person to be under so much stress, which in result make them be out of control with raging emotions. If that’s the case, the best thing to do is to meditate. 

Meditation is the process of bringing the mind and body to a relaxed state of restfulness. This can be a very spiritual experience for some people. This form of relaxation technique has become an alternative therapy for stress related behavior. It can free our minds of the chaos of everyday life, and help us to manage our thoughts and get our emotions under control. It nurtures peace within the body and brings the mind to a place of reflection and calm.

Sometimes we respond in anger when things in our life aren’t going right and by doing so, we tend to take it out on the wrong people because you’ll find yourself snapping and yelling at everybody. If you re so worked up over something and can feel that you are too upset and stressed, you should avoid contact with people for a little while and try to meditate to get your mind, body, and emotions at a calm state.

Breathing meditation exercises have a variety of benefits. The more you do them, the better off you’ll be. It’ll help relieve stress and ease the tension inside you. When you practice breathing meditations, you will start to feel your thoughts forming in your mind and begin to realize that there are three kinds of thoughts that can arise, which are positive, negative and neutral.

Negative thoughts will produce negative emotions. The most common one is anger, which is also the most destructive. Angry action destroys many good deeds. It comes in many shapes and sizes; irritations, frustrations, impatience, annoyance and full blown violent rage. Doing meditation can help you keep it under control.

As you practice breathing meditation, you’ll realize it’s the negative thoughts that come into your mind causing your anger. When you meditate, you become aware of how thoughts form and as anger arises in your mind, with a little practice, you now realize you have a choice.

In conclusion, being angry can be considered to be normal but if left uncontrolled it can have lot of harmful effects on you. Try to focus on the feelings inside you and meditate to keep yourself in control.
