Great to know Hugh and Howard practice transcendental meditation!

  5. Sunnyshopper108 says:

@sweetguitars Always taught individually by a teacher personally trained by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Fees are structured by country, but like water that is free, there are plumbing costs associated with bringing it to your home. I’ve never met anyone in over 30 yrs not happy with the program. In fact I know hundreds of folks who have been doing it for 25+ yrs…now that is more than a passing fad…let me know how you do.

  6. Calloptions says:

If he is doing transcendental meditation for 38 years, he could have mentioned it earlier.

  7. mossberg451 says:

meditation can help you if done everyday it can make you more happy and positive

  8. garysam49 says:

  9. TheROCKandOrROLL says:

@PreservingLiberty Individualism is good for all, collectivism is only good for the “dictator.” So TM is good for all.

  10. 2HundredPercent says:

TM is where it’s at… stoked Hugh Jackman does it. Nice vid, 5 stars.

  11. thegov08 says:

  12. Sunnyshopper108 says:

TM Rocks! Changed my health and made thinking clearer. Bad news for stress and brings inner joy, outer bliss. Go for it!

  13. JMoneyG says:

    whats ur beef with meditation?

  14. PreservingLiberty says:

TM is a good thing for the individualist and a bad thing for the collectivist. You have to be educated to be effected by it. You have to know the forces behind natural systems or else you will feel nothing.

  15. regresseur says:

    LOL

  16. BRadvertise says:

The problems in your life are portrayed in the things you make. If anything is true its that Meditation is Surreal and you are ignorant.

  20. simplegolucky says:

@magiccarpetride231 I don’t practice TM, but how can you say that it sucks for everyone, after having heard someone say that TM changed their life in a positive way?

  21. magiccarpetride231 says:

tm sucks, and people dont buy what huge and howard is saying tm meditation is the worst thing any human being can practise period

  22. magiccarpetride231 says:

    howard + stern = pedofhile

  23. kickjackpip says:

I can’t believe Hugh Jackman practices TM! He’s like my favorite actor. TM is the best.

  24. Kadjoluty says:

I love TM! I had a poor health until no learned to Transcendental Meditation. Thanks to my teacher!
    Jai Guru Dev!

  25. 13314u says:

Yeah I was wondering that myself.

I think it might be Howard Stern’s agent… Weird.

I bet Howard wouldn’t have approved of that – he loves Transcendental Meditation!

  26. 13314u says:

@Hussein2512 it’s not possible to learn with a trained teacher because it is a very refined process that needs guidance.
    -
Similar to learning to ride a bike or drive a car – it is much better to have the teacher to guide and correct mistakes.
    -
If you contact the TM website people they usually can work something out to help people who don’t have much money.

  27. oicurapns says:

The audio level is so low i had to hold my laptop to my ear then suddenly i got mail and the notify tone blew my eardrum out !

  28. Hussein2512 says:

and is there a book i can learn from or a video ? i dont want to go to the course, it is expensive

  29. wardiew says:

It’s great to be able to see this same lecture 45 years later and still feel connected. TM really helped me as a youth, and still allows me to connect with my innermost in a simple and enjoyable way. It took a lot of years to give up drugs and drinking, but I credit TM with getting me there eventually. Thanks, MMY for your gift of love.

  30. wildwitchwoman46 says:

lovely 2 hear Maharishi and remember his power an luv are with us still Love and Peace 2 all

  31. mossberg451 says:

it seems like a mind filter

  32. hypur says:

you probably played terrible guitar, but because you were experiencing the guitar more you assumed it to be the best you’ve ever played

  33. fitzgerald1337x says:

@MickyG4444 $1500 seems like a lot at first glance, but i ask you this: how much did your mushrooms cost you? $20? $30? if you were to drop mushrooms once a week, how long would it take before you had spent $1500? begin to save a little here and a little there… the TM technique isn’t going anywhere. that’s why it costs so much; they aren’t using the money in some sort of egregious way to swindle you, they are using it to build more TM centers, advertise more, etc.

  34. stefan534 says:

And yet you have the money to buy mushrooms and drugs.

  35. Casperotion says:

you won’t need to pay all that money. just practice yourself and it will come naturally. and make sure you meditate on or pay complete attention to whatever you’re doing in your everyday life. then it becomes easier and easier..

  36. AnandLokraj says:

I heard there are scholarships available from the David Lynch Foundation and also student rates

  37. AnandLokraj says:

Maharishi is genius in every respect!

I love his explanation mantra and Transcendental Meditation – so clear

    all my best

  38. MickyG4444 says:

Shit… I did mushrooms a couple of times and reached this point of complete inner peace and overflowing creativity(played the best guitar I’ve ever played). It’s a state of complete satisfaction and really super heightened crystal clear awareness.
Since then I’ve been trying to live like that but I lost it, because I can’t quiet my mind. I can’t sleep cus I can’t stop thinking.
This is wat I need, but they charge $1500. I’m barely 20 yrs old, how can they suck people dry like that?

  39. smittentosea says:

Maharishi makes it very easy to understand. Thanks for posting this

  40. luciuswake says:

Static meaning could also be described as Definite or Dogmatic.

Gnositc Seeking is the opposite of Dogma

This yogi is so analytical. Very helpful and thought provoking

  41. 13314u says:

I am watching these videos over and over and everytime I hear more that I didn’t hear the first time.

Maharishi is one of the greatest teachers of our time and his knowledge is eternal as if being given from an ancient rishi in the himalaya’s.

  42. angeloterrestre says:

    simply the best

  43. priluzje8 says:

So clear, so simple, so lovely and profound explanation… And you can bask in divine love radiating from Maharishi’s voice… Thank you!

  44. jimbabaji says:

Beautiful, simple, profound, elegant. Favorite points: Effortless thinking and the “experience” of experience fading away. Great stuff!

  45. 2four6ate says:

Yes, exactly my thoughts on this tape. This tape should make it clear that meditating correctly is important. And research shows significantly positive benefits from practicing the TM technique. .

  46. 13314u says:

    Great video – keep’em coming

    :-) )

  47. miltownkid says:

This was really cool! Thanks for posting it as a video response. All the other videos that I’ve seen of the Maharishi when of when he was much older. He has an awesome spirit to him.

There is a little error in the “more info area.” It says 1520 minutes a day. I think that was suppose to be 15-20. ;)

  48. 2HundredPercent says:

Maharishi explains it perfectly! So profound, but so simple.

  49. JezebelP says:

I love this. It’s like having Maharishi here with us. And remembering the beginning when I was so happy to know he was in the world.

  50. laughingbaba says:

This video is absolutely perfect! Maharishi has such clarity in his explanation of proper meditation technique.
