<p>Your looks are suffering from not using time management properly to manage stress.  Those dark circles under your eyes from lack of sleep?  That recent weight gain from fast-food dinners and not working out?  Shortness of breath from panic attacks? This is caused not only by the stress, but by not having the time to actually address and get rid of the stress.  And it’s not just workplace anxiety that needs to have time managed.  Every area of your life demands your time. Every area of your life has stress.  Every area of your life suffers if the stress overwhelms the time you have.</p>

<p>Using aggressive time management can relieve help these problems.  Managing your time in the face of stress helps you stay on your diet or your fitness routine.  This goes a long way towards managing the physical symptoms of anxiety attacks.  Having a stress management system that uses time management to force time to be healthy will actually make fighting stress all the easier.</p>

<p>Here are 5 ways to use time to stay focused on health in the face of stress:</p>

Make time for fitness and diet priorities over distractions.  By utilizing aggressive scheduling, you can say “no” to time wasting distractions, and schedule them to be addressed at the proper time. &#13;<br />
    Be accurate in your scheduling.  Don’t put aside 20 minutes for the 20 minute workout, if it takes 30 minutes to get to the gym and 30 minutes to change. &#13;<br />
    Delegate non-priority tasks.  If the task can be done by someone else, assign it to them. Just don’t give the perception that they are doing it so you can go workout! Do it tactfully. &#13;<br />
    Set aside time for planning.  Too much stress is caused by reacting to situations.  By setting aside time to analyze and plan, you save time in the long run. &#13;<br />
    Rearrange your workout schedule.  Maybe move it from early morning to after work.  Or from daily to 4 times per week. &#13;</p>

<p>If you don’t do set aside time for your health, the answer to “how does stress affect health” will be “worse and faster.” The  signs symptoms of panic attacks can cause many health problems.  If the stress is allowed to take up your working out time, the stress will affect your health much worse.  Which will reduce your ability to fight stress.  Which will make the stress worse.  And so on.  And so on.  It may be difficult to get your time under control. It’s a lot harder trying to get your time under control in a stressful situation and feeling lousy about it.</p>

<p> In the 1990s, I suffered severe depression for five long years. For the first two of those years I did not even know that I was depressed because I did not know what the signs and symptoms were. <p> In the 1990s, I was diagnosed with clinical depression which I suffered for five long years. Eventually I found a set of tools which enabled me to turn my life around. Now, I am back on top again, enjoying myself and doing all the things I want to.</p>
<p> Now one of my passions in life is helping other people to do just the same thing. When people come to me with depression, a question I often think they could ask is, What are the consequences of depression and what can happen as a result of it? </p>
<p> Well, of course, depression can produce a crippling combination of consequences. Things such as &#8211; </p>
<p> &#8211; Disturbed sleep</p>
<p> &#8211; Tiredness and crippling fatigue </p>
<p> &#8211; That fatigue can produce a short temper which can have a devastating effect on our personal relationships, our family life and our work relationships </p>
<p> &#8211; The fatigue can also impact negatively on our immune system</p>
<p> &#8211; From there it is only a short step to illness. I remember I was diagnosed with a viral infection and with that viral infection I was off work for six weeks. Being self employed, that had a huge negative impact on the income into our household </p>
<p> &#8211; Being off work can have a negative impact on your career as well </p>
<p> &#8211; As indeed it can if you develop a reputation for being depressed.</p>
<p> &#8211; Another possible consequence of depression is increased use of alcohol or drugs. </p>
<p> &#8211; Also, we can experience reduced sex drive. </p>
<p> &#8211; One of the things I found most debilitating with my depression was a complete inability to think clearly and make effective decisions. </p>
<p> So, therefore, it is very important for anybody suffering from depression to seek professional help. </p>

<p>              ANXIETY. Physical Signs of Anxiety</p>
<p> Hello, my name is Rod Morgan and I am the founder of The Stress Workshop.</p>
<p> In the 1990s, during the last severe economic recession, I experienced severe anxiety. Now it is true to say that we all experience anxiety to some degree from time to time, usually when we go into an unusual or new situation or a new environment. </p>
<p> In the last economic recession though I suffered severe anxiety.</p>
<p> Since then I have come back. I have turned my life around, I am back on top and I am really enjoying myself again. And you can do the same too. </p>
<p> But before we get to that, let us have a look at one of two of the physical symptoms of anxiety. Things such as -</p>
<p> &#8211; dizziness</p>
<p> &#8211; lethargy</p>
<p> &#8211; pins and needles</p>
<p> &#8211; irregular heartbeat (otherwise known as palpitations)</p>
<p> &#8211; muscle aches</p>
<p> &#8211; dry mouth</p>
<p> &#8211; excessive sweating</p>
<p> &#8211; shortness of breath</p>
<p> &#8211; stomach ache</p>
<p> &#8211; diarrhoea</p>
<p> &#8211; headaches</p>
<p> &#8211; excessive thirst</p>
<p> &#8211; frequent urinating</p>
<p> &#8211; painful or missed periods</p>
<p> and something that I certainly experienced a lot of myself, not being able to sleep properly. I would wake up early morning after morning and not be able to get back to sleep again.</p>
<p> Now in this series of articles we will also be looking at the psychological symptoms of anxiety as well as how common it is, what causes it and whether or not there is a cure.</p>
